Why start young

Why starting young changes everything

You want your teen to become a capable adult who has direction. But traditional education isn't giving them the skills to stay ahead in a world where technology is replacing entire careers.

Teen Business Academy prepares your teen for the world they're growing into — by having them build something real, with mentors who have done it themselves.

The difference

Why homeschool families love TBA

Discover Natural Strengths

Teens find out what they're genuinely good at by doing the work, not by taking a quiz.

Build Around Their Values

Every business starts with what your teen actually cares about.

Fail While It's Free

The average entrepreneur fails 4-5 times before success. Better to do that at 15 than 35.

Real-World Skills

Pricing, pitching, budgeting and marketing — skills that transfer to any career.

Hands-On Learning

Students build, sell and present. Nobody sits through 180 hours of lecture.

Mentorship That Matters

Taught by entrepreneurs who've built 100+ businesses between them.

The curriculum

Six pillars. 180 hours. One real business.

Every student moves through the same six pillars while building their own company alongside classmates.

01

Product Development

Market research, branding, testing and launching a real product.

02

Project Management

Goals, timelines, accountability and working inside a team.

03

Accounting & Finance

Pricing, profit margins, cash flow and budgeting that actually balances.

04

Technology

AI as a tool, websites, software and digital workflows.

05

Marketing

Branding, content, social media and ethical marketing.

06

Sales

Pitching, networking and closing with confidence.

Here's what families are saying

Real words from Colorado homeschool parents whose teens have been through the program.

"Finally, a curriculum that blends seamlessly with homeschooling schedules and values while equipping teens for real world success!"

Katherine C.
Homeschool Parent, Colorado Springs

"As a mother of four teenagers, I truly appreciate how the Teen Business Academy provides a comprehensive education on starting and growing a business. It's more than just business skills; these are essential life lessons that all teens should learn, whether or not they choose to start their own businesses."

Lisa Ruman
Mother of four teenagers

"We really appreciate the Teen Business Academy's dedication to our daughter's educational experience. It is rare to find a homeschool program that excels at integrating multiple content areas alongside real-world application in a way that makes learning fun, relevant, and well managed at the same time."

C. Gatti
Parent of TBA Student

"TBA provided Marcus with a unique opportunity to develop his leadership and teamwork skills in a supportive environment. He shared with me how he stepped up to act as the CEO during a fast-paced challenge, leading his classmates to brainstorm and pitch their 'snake hats' concept. As a parent, it's been incredible to see him grow and embrace challenges with enthusiasm."

J. Moreno
TBA Parent

"My kiddo has always had an entrepreneurial spirit. We were new to homeschooling and looking for enrichment programs when we came across TBA. It's been awesome for him to learn real world skills to apply to his many great ideas while building relationships with similar minded peers."

Tiana
TBA Parent

"Our son has LOVED doing the online classes, going on the field trips and building a business using all the things he is learning. TBA has really helped him to take what he is learning and apply it to real life, what a life skill!!"

The founder

Built by someone who's started 100+ businesses

Chris Coughlin, founder of Teen Business Academy

Chris was born an entrepreneur. At 8, he was buying seeds at Shopko and reselling them to neighbors. By 12, he figured out he could mow lawns for $6 and pay other kids $3 to do the work. He never stopped. Over the next 50 years, Chris started, invested in, or mentored over 100 businesses — the biggest being Glazier Clinics, the largest football clinic provider in the country, training over 60,000 coaches each year.

John Crist

"Not a day goes by when I don't apply one of the business principles I learned from Chris. It's grown into a seven-figure business and a lot of that success I owe to Chris Coughlin."
